The Compendium

Afropendium is a digital compendium of African American culture — an imaginative upgrade to its analog ancestor — celebrating one subject at a time. Each collection gives a single cultural domain — jazz, Afrofuturism, and more to come — its own dedicated space, designed in homage to that domain's own visual tradition and connected by one mark, one voice, and one standard of care. We collect, we teach, and we celebrate: inclusion, education, cultural pride, and innovation — preserving the past while embracing the future. Scholars find rigor here; newcomers find welcome.
